While painting Just Enough, I was exploring how far I could stretch the chaos before it tipped over. Layer after layer, mark after mark — searching for that fine line where energy becomes harmony.

This piece carries the feeling of a full life. Movement, color, traces of everything that happened — yet somehow it lands softly. Like a warm exhale at the end of a long day.

It’s a painting that lives with you. Bright, layered, alive — and always gently reminding you that even the busiest days can hold beauty.

I’m the artist behind Studio Faab.

This is where my work comes together — paintings shaped by high-quality acrylics, mixed media, and a deep trust in the process. I paint what draws me in, and I follow intuition wherever it leads.

The work often reflects that in-between state — where things feel slightly unbalanced, yet perfectly whole. Much like everyday life.

I don’t aim to define what my work should mean to you. I believe the viewer brings their own experiences, emotions and stories into the painting — and that space matters.

Art, to me, is a refuge. A pause. A place to simply be.

Perfectly imperfect 💛

I fell in love with ceramics last autumn. There’s something calming about working with clay. It slows you down and lets your thoughts drift while your hands stay grounded in the process ✨

I’ve come to love the simplicity of letting the material take the lead. Often, the most unplanned creations turn out to be my favourites.

These soft, organic bowls were made using the slab technique — shaped by feel, not by rules. I love their soft edges and quiet presence. None of them are perfect, and that’s exactly the point.

Perfect for snacks, yoghurt, nuts, or whatever little treat feels right. I made a set of four in different sizes — and I already want to make more 🫶

This is my creative space – a place where I’ll share glimpses of the process behind it all. My name is Ida F. Berulfsen, and I explore form, colour, and everything in between.

This piece is one of my most recent paintings – abstract, intuitive, and open to interpretation, just the way I like it. I work mainly with acrylics, watercolour, ink, and clay, and I live by the mantra of creating only what truly inspires me.

The website isn’t live just yet, but soon it will be a place to discover more of what I do. For now, I hope you’ll follow along as the studio slowly takes shape. Maybe one day my art will be available for purchase – but right now, it’s all about sharing what’s unfolding.

Dette er mitt kreative rom – og nå også en digital dagbok for kunsten jeg lager. Jeg heter Ida F. Berulfsen, og i dette studioet utforsker jeg form, farge og det som ligger mellom.

Bildet du ser her er et av mine nyeste malerier – abstrakt og åpent for tolkning, akkurat slik jeg liker det. Jeg jobber mest med akryl, akvarell, blekk og leire – og lar prosessen være like viktig som resultatet.

Nettsiden min er ikke helt klar ennå, men snart vil du finne mer der. Enn så lenge håper jeg du vil følge reisen min her. Kanskje det på sikt også vil bli mulig å kjøpe verkene mine – men akkurat nå handler det mest om å vise frem og dele det som vokser frem i studio.
